A photographer has captured the last agonising moments of a baby baboon’s life after it was caught in the jaws of a lioness.
Photographer Stew Nolan’s images show the infant monkey appearing to beg the 300-pound lioness to spare it.
Instead, the predator toys with the tiny monkey for several minutes before killing it at South Africa‘s Kruger National Park.

The female lion appeared to have also killed an adult baboon. In Nolan’s picture, the larger animal can be seen tightly gripped by the predator’s jaws
