Where is it found? Distribution: The Spectacled Monarch’s habitat includes the coastal regions of northeastern and eastern Australia, encompassing coastal islands stretching from Cape York, Queensland to Port Stephens, New South Wales. While it’s less common in the south, it’s also spotted in Papua New Guinea, the Moluccas, and Timor.

Habitat: In its preferred habitat, the Spectacled Monarch seeks the shelter of dense understorey in rainforests, wet gullies, waterside vegetation, and even mangroves.
