Mary, who is Carmelo’s mother, is an African-American woman who was born in Bishopville, South Carolina. She is the second kid oᴜt of a total of twelve individuals. A dedicated basketball player in high school, Carmelo’s mother passed on her passion for the game to her son, who also plays basketball.
