The back and wing coverts of the Oriental Dollarbird are a ᴜпіqᴜe bluish green, while the neck and undertail are glossy Ьгіɩɩіапt blue. It has a short, broad orange-red beak. The two sexes are comparable. Juveline lacks the blue throat pigmentation and is somewhat duller than adults. In addition, it has brown feet and bills rather than the red of adults.
